What makes Taiwan’s famous Odiva Pork different from other pork variants in terms of taste, texture, flavor, and character?

The Philippines is about to find out as the exquisite Odiva Pork comes to this archipelago, bringing with it a unique marriage of innovative breeding practices and treasured culinary traditions, resulting in a delectable brand of culinary expertise.

The Pork

Every bite of Odiva Pork brings to the palate a mix of juicy, smooth, tasty, and sweet characteristics. This is thanks to the collagen that allows the meat to be springy and refreshing.

This is attributable to the fact that the pigs are fed with clean fodder in a managed and favorable living environment where they are allowed to mature for a lengthy 270 days. This makes Odiva Pork a succulent treat to the tastebuds.

Pinpu Black Pigs

Taiwan’s native black pig is a species treasured by the Taiwan indigenous communities because of their sweet and delicious red pork meat with healthy white fat. Every cut of this pork is rich in Omega-9 content, making it a high-quality pork with healthy fat. Because of this, the meat is perfect to be served at fine dining restaurants and dining establishments as it reaches culinary destinations in the Philippines.

The Science of Selective Breeding

To perpetuate this species, Odiva conducted extensive research from more than 10 years ago and started collaborating with experts to create a superior genetic library for breeding Pinpu Black Pigs. The goal was to preserve and enhance the distinctive flavors and textures of this well-loved pig species.

Green Pig Farm

Nestled at the foot of the Dawu Mountain in the Pingtung Plain lies the Chun-Fa-Cheng Pig Farm, where the Pinpu Black Pigs are raised in a clean, controlled, and healthy environment.

The pigs here are allowed to grow and mature at a natural pace to help them develop favorable fat and nutrient content in their meat.

Healthy diet is the lifestyle here, as the pigs are fed RO-filtered drinking water from the underground water by the foot of the Dawu Mountain. Aside from this, the environment is sufficiently controlled with the help of AI, including temperature, ventilation, and watering, to ensure that the pigs are healthy and comfortable at every stage in their growth.

With all this pig pampering, no wonder the pork comes out incredibly tasty, tender, and succulent with every bite!

As Odiva Pork is launched in the Philippines, patrons will soon have a taste of the rich and flavorful Pinpu Black Pig meat, which is a result of sustainable pig farming practices, innovative breeding practices, and a long-standing commitment to quality and excellence.
